These terms cover summonghost.com, its installer, and the account tools retained for existing users. By using them, you agree to these terms.
Open-source software
Ghost is local, open-source software licensed under the Apache License 2.0. That license, not these website terms, governs your use, copying, and distribution of the software.
The installer downloads source and dependencies to your computer and changes local configuration. Review it before running it. Ghost may use operating-system packages, GitHub, and AI providers you select, each under its own terms.
Existing accounts
The hosted product is being retired. Existing users may sign in to download their ghost or sign out. Account deletion is no longer self-service: email us and we will erase your account. You retain ownership of your legacy content and permit us to process it only as needed to provide this migration tool.
Acceptable use
You may not use the website, account tools, or installer to:
- break the law or violate another person's rights;
- gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
- disrupt, overload, scrape, or probe the service without permission.
We may restrict access needed to stop abuse, protect users, or comply with law.
AI output
AI output can be wrong or harmful. Review it before relying on it. Ghost is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
No warranty
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the website, installer, and migration tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. The Apache License contains the warranty terms that apply to Ghost itself.
Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, SummonGhost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or use arising from these website services. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms as the legacy hosted system is retired. The date above shows the latest version. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
